FAVOURITE 2013 ALBUMS ... SO FAR !

For my post today I decided that I would share with you my favourite 2013 albums...so far!
These are the albums I have been playing on repeat since their release and I just can't seem to get enough. I will also link my favourite song off the album as well!
In alphabetical order, first up is....

Bad Blood (The Extended Cut) - Bastille

This has got to be one of the best albums, from any artist, I have heard. This is the groups debut album and it couldn't be any better for it. I absolutely love this album because the songs are structured and contain verses and chorus' not just crap techno shit. The songs are also truthful and genuine. This is an album I can constantly listen to and never get sick of...ever. Whenever I feel like calming down and chilling out, this is the album I immediately put on. If you haven't listened to it or you've only heard their most famous hit, Pompeii, I highly recommend buying it.
Favourite Song: Oblivion. This is most definitely my favourite song as it was featured on one of my favourite shows, The Vampire Diaries, and it was one of the craziest episodes of the season!
Oblivion - Bastille

Surfers Paradise - Cody Simpson
Now, I have all of Cody Simpson's albums, and while this one is good, it's not my favourite of his. If you don't already know Cody is a home-grown Aussie talent hailing from the sunny Gold Coast in Queensland. This album is very much so a summer-time, kick back, chill by the pool kinda album. When you listen to it, it really makes you feel good and relax. Even though I am actually older than Cody, I absolutely love him and his music and I was even contemplating going to see Justin Beiber, who I hate, just so I could see Cody (If you didn't know, they are touring together).
Favourite song: Sinkin' In. I love this song because it actually makes me feel as though I'm in the sun, relaxing on the beach or in a huge fancy beach house just chilling. Weird, I know, but music has that affect on me.
Sinkin' In - Cody Simpson

Demi - Demi Lovato

I was really excited for this album because I have loved Demi since I was like 12 and I have always looked up to her as a role model. She is an amazing singer with a phenomenal voice and each of her songs tells a different story. She is an honest artist and no matter if the song has a fast or slow tempo, you will be singing and dancing along in no time and they always make you feel good. This is my favourite album of Demi's altogether, hands down.
Favourite song: Made In The USA/Warrior. I simply cannot decide between the two. They are completely opposite songs but I love them both. Made In The USA you can just jam and dance to whereas Warrior is a deep song that you can't help but feel emotional listening to. It's inspirational.
Made In The USA - Demi Lovato
Warrior - Demi Lovato

Save Rock And Roll - Fall Out Boy

This is another album I was extremely excited about. I have been listening to Fall Out Boy since 2006 and I actually used to get laughed at at school because I was a girl and listened to these lads. I have every single one of there albums and they just keep getting better. I absolutely love this album because if I'm made to do chores or housework, I just plug my iPod in and blast the album so loud. All the songs are loud and catchy. Some people criticise FOB for going too 'pop' but they clearly don't know what they're talking about. I am currently sitting here smiling as I'm typing this because it is, in fact, only 52 days till I see these guys in Sydney. #EXCITED
Favourite song: Save Rock and Roll. I have multiple favourites on this album, but if I had to chose it would be Save Rock and Roll. This song has so much truth to it. It is such a genuine song and it needs to be heard. The fact that it features Elton John is just pure brilliance!
Save Rock and Roll - Fall Out Boy

Paramore - Paramore

This is another band that I have been listening to since I can remember. I while admit that I do like Paramore's older music better but this album is still so good. I found this album a lot different to their previous ones which is good. They're obviously changing it up a bit and experimenting and its paying off. This is another album that I can just pump up really loud and just have fun listening to. Even though it's only the three of them now, damn they still make sweet music.
Favourite song: Proof. This is my favourite song because it is a song I can really relate to. Its also an amazing song to just turn up to full potential and scream your head off to!

IRISH MAGIC! The Script | Sydney 2013

Man, I have been gone for weeks! Sorry about that. Year 11 stress has kicked in. Between crazy long assessments and out of school activities it has been super hard to stay on top of this. I have no clue how Zoella or SprinkleOfGlitter do it...what's the secret?

I have been dying to write this blog post for SOOO long! I wanted to save the best for last. This is also, probably, one of the most upsetting posts to write because while at this concert, I had gotten some of the most amazing footage of the Irish lads, also known as The Script, and then I decided i would try to transfer all my files on to my computer to free up more space only to see that they hadn't actually transferred but has just deleted instead! #HEARTBREAKING! Now every time I listen to a Script song thats all i remember, but lucky for me (not so much for you guys) I can remember everything about that night.

It was indeed magical.

Where to start? Right. On the 7th of April 2013 I went and saw one of my favourite bands EVER, The Script. I have been listening to these lads since about 2008/9 and I was beyond thrilled to be able to see them in concert and have such great seats! On to the 1st support act. The lucky lass that graced the same stage as the Script goes by the name of Sinead Burgess. Sounds irish, right? WRONG! She just so happens to be a home-grown, Aussie talent. You may have heard one of her hit songs, "Goodnight America". She was awesome at warming the crowd up, getting us ready and pumped for the next support act. Sinead was so down to earth and did so well at mingling with the audience...from the stage...which really doesn't make sense....OK, moving on.

The 2nd support act were an Irish Group called The Original Rude Boys. Before they came out, I was kind of thinking to myself "Here we go, they will be some weird, crappy rap group that will just be annoying" and boy, was I wrong! They were brilliant. The Boys came on stage and immediately got the crowd hyped. While yes, some of their songs included rapping, the chorus' were very Indie/Acoustic. Their songs sent off good vibes and immediately made me smile and sing along even though i didn't even know the words! Their Irish accent was extremely thick, so when they were just talking and interacting with the crowd it was kind of hard to understand them, but who cares? They're Irish! After the finished their set, they went out into the halls of the arena and mingled with some of the fans and you could even see them in the mosh when The Script were on. They seemed like such genuine guys who weren't overly interested in the fame or the money, they did it purely because its what they love.

Here's some links to their songs. I highly recommend you check them out...you won't be disappointed.
The Original Rudeboys - Blue Eyes
The Orginial Rudeboys - Traveling Man
The Original Rudeboys - Stars In My Eyes

Now for the main act. Before the Script lads came out on stage, they had a 5 minute video that spoke about time and space and it was really, really cool. I would love to go into detai, but unfortunately I can't remember much of it and I filmed it all! .... If only I still had the footage :(
The video ended and the boys came onto the stage. Before they got into it, they set up and Danny lingered around on the stage. The way the smoke and light reflected off him, he looked amazing.

After that, they immediately got into it and got the crowd on their feet and screaming. All the lads were so energetic and they started off with the perfect song; "Good Ol Days". I can distinctly remember Danny just yelling at everyone saying: "HERE WE GO, HERE WE, HERE WE GO!" For the first song, they were extremely interactive with the audience. Danny jumped into the crowd and got people singing and it was just an amazing way to start the night and it set the tone for the rest of the evening.

Danny then jumped to his beloved keyboard and started rocking out to 'Talk You Down'.

Throughout the show, all of the lads were extremely interactive with the audience and beyond entertaining. Being Irish, they had a couple of drinking competitions on stage and they were just hilarious! At one point in the show, Danny got someone in the crowd to call an ex. He then took and randoms phone and whilst talking to this randoms ex, he also sung 'Nothing' to them. How amazing?!
They loved to get all of us on our feet, singing and dancing and having a good time. I think its safe to say that they definitely achieved it.

Even though its not a HD snap, I love this photo (the one below). I managed to press the capture button right as Danny started laughing. What a great photo. I think this image really captures what Danny, and all of them, were like all throughout the show. The whole time they had this camera panning around the crowd and the video would then be live of the big screen where you can see Danny's face. It was amazing, the power these lads had over the crowd. They did almost anything for the lads or to get on the camera. Apparently one of my friends who was also at the concert said they saw me on the Big Cam, but I don't think so, lol!

They ended the show but everyone knew we hadn't seen the last of them yet. It was black, then all of a sudden they all came back on stage but Danny was missing. All of a sudden he started singing 'You Wont Feel A Thing' but no one could see where he was until a huge spotlight appeared in the crowd. He was in the stands, singing, kissing/hugging fans, making his way down through the mosh and back tot he stage. It was at this point that I may have teared up just a little. It was mind blowing to see how dedicated the lads were to their fans. I have been to concerts where the performers wouldn't even dare to try to touch a fans hand let alone jump into the crowd with them. It really just shows how down to earth, genuine and selfless The Script really are.

Well, the show had to end at some point. It was one of those night that I just didn't want to end. Anyways, I'm fairly sure everyone knew what their final song would be.....'Hall Of Fame'....what a surprise. Haha, just kidding. This was probably one of the best concert finales I have ever been to. It came close tot he song ending, but they didn't end it there. They kept going and as they did, huge confetti canons were let loose and it was one of the most amazing sights I have ever seen, I even have some of the confetti glued to my wall in my bedroom. The screams of the crowd went from very loud to super duper loud and the atmosphere intensified by at least 100. These lads were also a close 1st to the loudest concert I have ever been to! If you have read my Good Charlotte post, you will know that they were by far the loudest!  I had one of the greatest evenings of my life that night and even though I lost all the concert footage, I will never forget how lucky I was to see these lads live. I have even vowed to myself that I will travel over to the UK or Ireland when they play again in a couple of years and I will get back all the amazing footage I lost. That is one promise to myself that I will always keep.
